PRINCE OF THE CITY  Based on a true story, Prince of the City stars Treat Williams as Danny Ciello, a conflicted New York cop who reluctantly decides to go undercover for the feds to ferret out police corruption. At first, he recklessly gets off on the danger, but as the feds tighten the screws, the guilt-wracked Ciello is forced to compromise his partners and friends, and his own checkered past inexorably catches up with him.Sidney Lumet, who also directed Networkand Dog Day Afternoon , is esteemed as an actor's director. This film is prime evidence. The peerless ensemble, including Jerry Orbach, Bob Balaban, and a duty roster of great New York character actors, is flawless. CLAUDIA 1943,  Starring: Dorothy McGuire, in her film debut, Robert Young, Ina Claire, Reginald Gardiner, This film was adapted from the hit play by Rose Franken, and featured the actress who created the character of Claudia for the stage, Charmingly Mannered Comedy, titles are splicy, otherwise very good shape- $50

REVENGE OF THE PINK PANTHER- Hilarious comedy is the sixth film in the Pink Panther film series and last with Peter Sellers, though a later film in the series (Trail of the Pink Panther) used Sellers footage compiled from previous Panther movies.The opening titles in the film were designed by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, who had been involved with the series since the animated titles of the original 1963 film, The Pink Panther. Print is flat and has faded to pink with a little color here and there, and is in very good to excellent shape, complete with all beginning and end titles-  $60

ENCYCLOPAEDIA BRITANNICA FILMS

was formed in 1943, The new company is off and running with a gift from the Eastman Kodak Company, 250 silent films from the Eastman Teaching  Films of the 1920's. Second only to Coronet Films, Encyclopaedia Britannica took it's film making very seriously, According to a Boxoffice magazine article in 1944, the company will not release any films to schools that distorts incidents or characters for the sake of entertainment.  By 1970  the company had produced over 1.280 films.
